Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Michelle Escoffery - singer-songwriter, educator, creative executive, and joy facilitator.

My life’s work is rooted in music, but my mission is much bigger: to inspire, uplift, and help people reconnect to their joy, creative essence and inner light.

​

With over 30 years in the music industry, I’ve had the honour of writing songs for global artists, winning an Ivor Novello and a BRIT Award, and becoming the first President of the PRS for Music Members’ Council. But titles and accolades aside, what truly drives me is people — nurturing talent, sharing lived experiences, and creating safe, sacred spaces where others can thrive.

As co-founder of 528 Music Global, I pour my energy into artist and songwriter development, offering practical guidance and mentorship through hands-on experience. I’ve also lectured and module led on commercial songwriting & production undergrad and post grad at institutions like BIMM, Westminster University, and Tileyard Education, bringing the real-world creative process into the classroom.

In parallel to my music journey, I’ve walked a path of wellness, healing, and spiritual growth. For over two decades, I’ve supported creatives as a Life Navigation Consultant and transformational coach — helping them find clarity, protect their peace, build resilience and avoid burnout. I believe joy is a birthright and a practice, and I’m passionate about helping others access it — even in life’s messier moments.

Whether I’m speaking on stage, mentoring one-on-one, or guiding collective experiences like my Pause Retreats, my approach is grounded, heart-led, and rooted in the power of community, Divine technology, and true authenticity.

I wear many hats — Chair of The Ivors Academy Trust, CLOCK Sector Expert, PRS Foundation and She Writes Songs Trustee, ICMP Advisory Board, MIAG, mentor with Power Up, Help Musicians and LIMF Academy - but at the core of it all, I’m simply someone who believes in the transferable and transformative power of creativity as a tool for change, healing, and joy.
