It's Okay Not To Be Okay... Mental Health Awareness Day 10.10.18

In this age of fakery and #doingitforthegram culture, it becomes too easy to blur fantasy, presentation and representation for anything real. Life has ups and downs and throws a hell of a lot of curveballs that floors and kicks the shit out of us. It really is okay to admit to self and others that we are not okay.. that life isn’t always #fabulous .. sometimes we get stuck, lost and sometimes we breakdown, fall apart and hit walls it seems we’ll never recover from.

We can’t always put on a brave face. We can’t always smile through the pain, fear and loss. We can’t always focus and keep functioning in the world day to day. Sometimes, we have to stop, pause, disintegrate, re-create, redefine, reintegrate, recollect re-ground and reconnect ... Life takes time to navigate. Everything isn’t instant. Knowing self is a lifelong quest.
